I didn't set out to have the Best Kennel in the country. I just wanted to have a pack of Beagles that were IMPRESSIVE to me. I am sure that there are others that may have better dogs. That makes me happy for them. I am glad that they have what makes them happy. When I go hunting I don't call my dogs out by their titles. I just say, Bow, Princess, Ricki, and Hannah let's go run a rabbit. It is not that I have a better dog than someone else but that I have a pack that is IMPRESSIVE to me.
I have put together hounds that are Impressive. These hounds have come from some of the BEST bloodlines and FINEST KENNELS in the country. My philosophy is that: To have the best you need to reach out and start with the best foundation stock. I feel that I have achieved that goal.
To have a pack of Beagles that were Impressive to me I didn't buy every dog that was for sale. I had to research, look, hunt and listen to people that had hunted with the different hounds. I only wanted hounds that I can be excited about their performance in the field. Hounds that are easy to handle with excellent line control and that will go hunting and not shine your shoes in the field. I wanted medium to fast as far as speed. I enjoy hearing a hound mouth and not a squeak. Since I look at them more in the kennel than in the field I wanted them to be pleasing to the eye. That meant that I wanted those that had championed on the bench as well as in the field. I presently have 47 championships with 12 of my hounds.
My motto is "a pleasure to have in the field and an honor to have in the pen".
When you breed to one of our Studs you know that they will be world class. "They have been there and done that". When you book an IMPRESSIVE pup you know it will fulfill our motto. You know that their sire and dam are truly IMPRESSIVE. They have come from a planned breeding program. To me the Dam is just as important as the Sire.“Our 7 females have a total of 25 Championships. 11 of these are in the field in the hunting beagle format and 14 on the bench. 3 are top Females at the World in the Opposite Sex class.
Our kennel produced the first litter from our own Sire that is a Triple Grand and our own Female that is a Triple Grand. In October of 2009 there were only 5 Triple Grand’s in UKC. Our GRHBCH GRCH GRPCH SUNDOWN BLACK BOW ws the 1st Triple Grand Champion male. Our GRPCH GRHBCH GRCH WHITE RIVER SHANANGO PRINCESS is the 3rd. Triple Grand Champion female.
If you have some good beagles and have all that you want I am happy for you. If you need a puppy or if you need a sire to raise a good litter from you female, you may have just come to the right web page. I also have started and trained dogs from time to time.
